An exquisite antique Victorian locket and collar hallmarked and dated Birmingham, 1884. The locket displays intricate, chased patterning across the front with high relief flowers and leaves in the centre.
The collar is a fabulous, chain link design with detailed ivy leaf engraving that represents a loving, unbreakable bond, as in the Victorian rhyme “Close clings the ivy to the tree, so in my heart I cling to thee”.
The pair is fashioned in sterling silver and the locket is the perfect place to store those cherished family portraits.
